6/26/2008 - Volunteer Needed!

Cobb County has re-sodded the soccer fields at Noonday Park and they do not want anyone on those fields. So in order to keep people out, they have locked the gates on Shallowford Road. We are looking for someone that would be willing to sit at the gate and allow the BMX folks thorugh for this coming Sundays race. If we do not find a volunteer, we may be forced to either park on the Hawkins Store Road side and walk to the track, or, we may be forced to cancel the race. If there is anyone that would be willing to help, please contact Margie Hatfield at 678-614-9702

Due to problems with the ram that operates the starting gate, gate practice at Powder Springs for tonight, Thursday, June 26 has been cancelled.

6/23/2008 - Race Cancellation

The race at Powder Springs that was scheduled for Tuesday night, June 24th has been removed from the schedule so there will be no race. This was due to the busy week and weekend that we just had due to the Dixieland Nationals. We'll see you all at the June 29th race at Noonday Park!

6/19/2008 - Important Information About This Weeks Racing!

For thos of you that raced this past Tuesday night, June 17, please be aware that this was a double points race and anyone that earned points that night will be awarded the double points. Tonight's race for Thursday, June 19 was marked as a double points race, but is only a single points race. The events schedule has been corrected on the website. We apologize for any confusion.

5/14/2008 - Important Pracice Information!

Due to insurance requirements by both Cobb County and the ABA, there will be absolutely no practice on the track on race day, or on nights where we hold an official gate practice unless you are in possesion of a current ABA membership card. All riders that wish to participate in a practice session will need to have their ABA membership card with them. These cards will be checked and verified before you will be allowed on the track. On race days, you will receive a sticker, similar to those given when your bike passes inspection at a National event to place on your bike. Only bikes that are clearly displaying this sticker will be allowed on the track. If you do not have a current membership, all forms will be available at registration on race day to fill out and you may pay to renew your membership at that time. Thank you for your cooperation!

10/14/2007 - News about the Carrollton Track!

The track at Carrollton will be redone for the 2008 racing season! All of us at Cobb County BMX look forward to the changes and having the Carrollton facility for our riders to go to. The changes will be significant and the track will be flatter opposed to the downhill configuration that we all know now. Please keep this in mind and let's support the new track and Teri Sibley in the 2008 season! She has been a great track operator as well as a great friend to us all!

2/27/2007 - Get Your Profile on Sponsorhouse

If you haven't already checked them out, Sponsorhouse is offering a free account. Sponsorhouse is a site that allows athletes (including BMX riders) to be seen by companies wanting to sponsor them. You can upload photos, results from your races, videos and a whole lot more. To get to the link, simply go to the ABA website, find your district points and you should see a link next to your name that says "Get a profile". That will get you started. You may also go to Sponsorhouse directly at www.sponsorhouse.com.
